Vivien Webb

Beth Wright

“There are many Hong Kong residents who can live privileged lives and can both work and have a family thanks to the incredible support of the migrant domestic workers who leave their families and country to come work in Hong Kong. I wanted to recognise that and contribute back in whatever capacity I could.”

Beth是瑞士寶盛銀行有限公司的董事兼高級法律顧問。 Ltd. She has held various senior legal roles in Investment Banking and Private Banking in both Hong Kong and London. Beth was the co-chair of Women in Finance, Asia for 10 years and is one of the founders and directors of a local NGO called “Suits for Success”. She is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.

David Spencer

“I made my career in Asia, and, because of that, I believe it is mission-critical to actively support and enable those children most vulnerable and disadvantaged in the communities that have enabled me to thrive and live out my dreams and passions.”

David is a Senior Advisor at STS Capital Partners and an experienced business leader and Board Director with almost 30 years living and working across Asia. David has been active with the Auction Napa Valley, Mother’s Choice, and Room To Read charities. His work on the Pathfinders BOD provides an opportunity to focus on issues regarding children, healthcare, education, human rights, and community – topics that pull his heartstrings and harness his experience, beliefs, skills, and relationships. David is proficient in English, Japanese, Indonesian, and he speaks a bit of Thai.

Meena Datwani

“I truly believe that every child is a gift to humanity and should be given a fair chance in life. I am so thrilled to be part of PathFinders effort to help the most vulnerable children and their migrant mothers who have sacrificed so much for me and others in Hong Kong to gain access to essential services and preserve their human dignity.”

Meena is the Senior Advisor for APAC Regulatory Affairs with Ernst and Young. Prior to that she spent over 35 years in public service including as Executive Director for Enforcement and AML Supervision in the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. In the aftermath of the financial crisis she set up the HKMA’s Banking Conduct Department and introduced a raft of regulations to help financial consumers, investors and depositors. She also served as the CEO of the Deposit Protection Board and was the founding Director of the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre. Meena is a qualified lawyer and worked in the Department of Justice specialising in judicial reviews before joining HKMA ‘s Legal Office in 1995. She is a member of the Estate Agent Authority. For nearly 30 years she has been serving as the Secretary General of the Baha’i community of Hong Kong and offers regular children, adult and junior youth courses to build capacity of the participants to render service to their local communities throughout Hong Kong.

Dr. George Lam

George is the Chair of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) Sustainable Business Network (ESBN) and the ESBN Task Force on Sustainable and Inclusive Finance. He has held a number of senior positions in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region and is the immediate past Chairman of Cyberport, Hong Kong’s digital technology flagship and global innovation hub. A former member of the Hong Kong Bar, George is a Solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong.

Virginia Devereux Wong

“I’m passionate about giving back to the MDW community in appreciation to all the brave and dedicated women workers. Many have committed in lifelong services to Hong Kong families, enabling countless women to have the flexibility and freedom to pursue their career aspirations. These are enormous sacrifices for which we, working women, are enormously grateful. If Pathfinders can provide care and comfort for MDW women and their born or unborn child during times of crisis, as well as guidance for crisis prevention, it is worthy of our support!”

Virginia has a long history of supporting Women in Finance and corporate Diversity & Inclusion. Over her 30 year career in the Asia fund management industry, she has worked with HSBC Private Banking, Standard Life Investments and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Virginia has a strong track record of business success and a renowned reputation in establishing new businesses, with a key emphasis on building collaborative team cultures, focused on integrity and determination to succeed.

Emma Lam

“I am passionate about bringing people closer together in the community through meaningful causes.”

Emma is currently an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management with over 18 years of experience in the industry. She served as Executive Director of Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management between 2008-2015, focusing on ultra high networth private individuals from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. She speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English. She graduated from the University of Chicago with an M.A in Humanities and a B.A in Economics. Prior to Goldman Sachs, she worked in Sotheby’s Hong Kong between 2003-2005 as a graduate trainee.

Catherine Gurtin

Catherine Gurtin has worked on child rights and protection across Asia for more than a decade and is passionate about connecting and bringing people together in pursuit of solutions and common goals.

Catherine joined PathFinders as CEO in February 2019, following 7 years with Save the Children, where she worked as a consultant Project Manager for Save the Children International’s Asia Regional Office, and most recently as COO for Save the Children Hong Kong.

Prior to joining the NGO sector, Catherine worked for over a decade in communications and public affairs, latterly as an Associate Director in the International Public Affairs team at Pfizer.

Catherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Surrey, England. She has lived in Asia for almost 15 years and has a 10 year old son and 9 year old daughter.

Kristina Zebua

Kristina first joined the PathFinders team from 2012 to 2015 as a Case Manager who also led our outreach and home country integration initiatives, and rejoined us in 2019 to lead our Crisis Prevention programme. Kristina believes that everyone has a part in building a ‘community of change’ and a ‘culture of hope’ and is bringing that belief to life in her current role as our Programmes Director. Kristina brings more than 19 years of experience empowering migrant workers in Hong Kong, addressing issues related to migration, and delivering social and psychosocial services. Prior to joining PathFinders, she was in charge of Christian Action and Mission 21 Switzerland’s joint service centre for MDWs. She was also a trainer in Enrich and Caritas Asian Migrant Workers Social Service Project.

Kristina holds a Master of Divinity and Bachelor of Science in Theology from STFT Jakarta Indonesia. Prior to beginning her professional journey in Hong Kong, she worked in her alma mater’s Research, Development, and Community Service Unit, the residence master, and working team member of UNDP’s sponsored Women Voters Education Program.

Angie Chandran

Angie joined PathFinders in 2019 to kickstart the employers’ engagement initiative. Angie has spearheaded a number of new initiatives in her career; including a child advocacy service for children involved in the child protection system, as well as a family programme centre for families of the incarcerated. Ever passionate about enhancing the lives of individuals and communities – particularly the disenfranchised – Angie has worked in different roles and functions in diverse settings; from social service, community development to international development. Her vast experience also spanned from non-government to public sectors in different parts of the world. Angie brings her positive spirit, resourcefulness and creativity into every aspect of her life – be it professionally or personally. A true global citizen, Angie calls a few places home. Hong Kong is where she and her family now resides.

Radha Shah

Radha is our Research & Policy lead at PathFinders and part of the Systemic Change team. Her approach involves examining the experiences of migrant domestic workers attempting to access maternity protections and provide for their newborns to produce data-driven solutions for Crisis Intervention and Crisis Prevention programming.

She has a background in Social Anthropology and South Asian Studies, and previously worked in development and academia in Canada and Pakistan. Radha has designed and conducted qualitative research for international and local organizations on gender and minority rights; prison reform; and internal displacement and international migration. She has also taught an undergraduate anthropology course at the Aga Khan University in Karachi.

Radha holds an M.A. from York University and a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Toronto.

Billy Chan

Billy joined PathFinders in March 2019 as our Senior Finance Manager and is a key member of our Leadership Team. His main responsibilities include receiving and allocation of funding, managing daily office operations, monthly financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, donor reporting and management of our yearly audit.

Billy studied in Australia at Adelaide TAFE and has a Diploma in banking and finance. He has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and financial services.

Ken To

Ken joined PathFinders in October 2021 to lead our communications, with a focus on engaging Chinese speaking media. Over the years, he has held a number of communications roles in various industries and has spent the most recent years in the NGO sector.

Ken is from Hong Kong but has a strong connection to Indonesia, as half of his family’s from there. He loves volunteering and has a passion for inspiring others.

Adaobi Onuike

Ada joined PathFinders in 2021 as a Partnership Manager and functions as a core member of the Systemic Change team. She engages and oversees relationships with diverse groups and individuals who are keen to partner and support PathFinders.

Her key responsibilities include, implementing long-term fundraising strategies, supporting public awareness initiatives, designing partnership engagement strategies, managing existing relationships, and nurturing new ones.

Ada is passionate about fostering valuable human interactions and relationships. She has over 7 years combined experience in the hospitality industry and human experience research. She holds a B.A in Language and Linguistics, an MSc in International Tourism and Convention Management, and a professional certification in Customer Relationship Management.

Stephanie Kwok

Stephanie joined PathFinders as a Senior Case Worker in 2024. She holds a Master’s degree of Social Work from the University of Hong Kong and is a registered social worker in Hong Kong. Prior to working with PathFinders, Stephanie has had extensive experience working with diverse marginalised communities, including refugees and asylum seekers, survivors of human trafficking and labour exploitation. Deeply impressed by the strength and resilience within the communities she has worked with, this experience further motivates Stephanie to take on her current role at PathFinders where she’s dedicated to empowering migrant women, mothers and their children to explore options and pathways for a better future.

Marcella King

Marcella joined PathFinders in January 2020 as part of our Healthcare team to support women and babies not eligible for healthcare in Hong Kong. A role she finds hugely rewarding, yet challenging with every day presenting varied situations that require her to ‘think outside the box’ to find solutions for the vulnerable children we serve and who deserve the best start in life.

Marcella studied in the UK at King’s College London as a Paediatric Nurse and later acquired a BsC in Children with Long Term Conditions. She then enjoyed working in various teaching hospitals in London and then in Australia, caring for children and their families.

In 2014, Marcella moved to Hong Kong with her family and started working in a private healthcare setting running baby clinics. In this role she helps new parents to navigate the early days with their newborn, a role she continues to do alongside her work at PathFinders.

Most recently, and after a lot of effort, Marcella became a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse on the Hong Kong Nursing Register – a rarity for an overseas health professional!

Ryan Alanguilan

Ryan joined PathFinders in 2021 as a Case Worker within our Crisis Intervention team. His duties include providing comfort, care and counselling to migrant mothers to help guide them through their crises and to ensure their children receive a fair start in life.

Ryan earned his Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He initially joined PathFinders as an intern through the university’s Experiential Learning Programme – Social Innovation and Global Citizenship (SIGC), wherein students are given the opportunity to learn about social issues and create impact in society. He impressed us so much, we were delighted when he agreed to ‘officially’ join our team!

Jina

“I believe everyone should be treated fairly, regardless of race, religion, gender, or social status.”

Jina joined PathFinders as a Case Worker in 2022 and has extensive experience working in the non-profit sector. Jina previously taught computer literacy and English to Indonesian migrant workers at Christian Action and Caritas, and was an interpreter at CHEERS during her gap year. Prior to joining PathFinders, Jina was a project assistant at International Social Service Hong Kong (ISSHK), where she served asylum seekers and refugees for over six years.

Jina earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Sanata Dharma in Jogjakarta, Indonesia. Always fascinated by the human condition, she attended additional relevant seminars and workshops during her college years on topics such as understanding phobias, trauma counseling, autism, and psychological testing. Jina continued to expand her knowledge at ISSHK by taking Bowen Theory courses such as Basics of Bowen Theory and Couple Counselling.

Angel Yung

Angel joined Pathfinders as a Case Worker in 2022. She was a history major student and graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University. Her interest in community service arose during her college years. After graduation, she served in our Crisis Intervention Team, responsible for addressing cases, and organizing educational workshops.

Angel is dedicated to protecting vulnerable children in Hong Kong, believing that every child should be respected and treated fairly. Also, as a Hong Kong local, Angel strives to improve relationships between Hong Kong employers and migrant domestic workers, including solving their inquiries and providing accurate information regarding their helpers’ pregnancies.

Erica Chen

Erica joined PathFinders in November 2022 as part of the crisis prevention team, which manages the MDW Ambassador Program and MDW community engagement. Prior to officially joining PathFinders, Erica had her internship with PathFinders as a social work intern in 2019 and stayed engaged with the MDW community until she eventually joined PathFinders.

Erica earned her Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sociology from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Philosophy in Sociology at the same university. Her master’s thesis focused on the pregnancy and childbearing decisions and experiences of women in urban China. In her studies, Erica has developed an interest and passion for research in the field of gender and family and is dedicated to protecting the fundamental rights of women and children and improving their lives. During her two-year master’s studies, Erica also gained experience in education by working as a teaching assistant and research assistant at the university.

Antaria

“My dream is to set up a kids center in Indonesia, where underprivileged children will have education assistance without having to be separated from their parents. This dream is aligned with PathFinders’ mission that all children are valuable and deserve a fair start in life. By joining PathFinders, I am one step closer in reaching my dream”.

Antaria joined PathFinders in December 2020 as a Crisis Prevention Officer. Working as an Ambassador Coordinator for Indonesian-speaking ambassadors. Since 2013, she has been assisting with the ministry of her church, Celebrate Life Baptist Church, on the administration and programs for their Indonesian Domestic Workers congregation, organizing Art and Cantonese classes as well as providing counsel related to work and family. She has been also teaching Bahasa Indonesia to local volunteers in the ministry as well as providing Bahasa Indonesia – Cantonese verbal interpretation. She was and has been volunteering in various services such as Christian Action – Centre for Migrant Domestic Workers and Haven of Hope Holistic Care Centre.

Prior to 2013, Antaria worked as a domestic worker in Hong Kong. Antaria holds an Associate Degree, majoring in Information Technology from the Training Program of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya, Indonesia, and a High School Diploma from Madiun Indonesia.

Zachra

Zachra joined PathFinders in June 2023 as part of the Crisis Prevention team, which was responsible for day-to-day MDW Empowerment, including recruitment and running of Ambassadors training and day-to-day engagement and oversight of Ambassadors. Zachra is also an Ambassador Coordinator to assist both English and Indonesian Speaking Ambassadors. Prior to joining PathFinders, Zachra has been a volunteer and consultant at PathFinders.

Zachra holds a bachelor degree in Communication Science from Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia. During her bachelor year, she was granted a one semester exchange programme scholarship in the University of Edinburgh by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. In terms of working experience, Zachra has specialized in Influencer Marketing. She has worked as KOL Management in TREVO, a peer-to-peer car sharing platform and REDComm, a digital marketing agency.
