International Domestic Workers Day is celebrated on the 16th of June to honour the contributions of domestic workers to the global economy. This International Domestic Workers Day, Uplifters and PathFinders are thrilled to announce the launch of their new short course, “Your Health as a Woman.”

Cross-sector Symposium To Explore Ways To Improve Migrant Domestic Workers’ (MDWs) Lives
A series of the most pressing issues faced by MDWs working and living in Hong Kong – including inclusivity, diversity, healthcare, and employer-employee relationships, was the focus of discussion during last Friday’s “Migrant Worker Lives Matter Symposium” organised by the Department of English and Communication at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in collaboration with PathFinders and Mission For Migrant Workers.

Award-Winning Filmmaker and Talented Artists Collaborate on Hong Kong’s First Children’s Book Illustrated by Migrant Domestic Workers
Hong Kong, 2 May 2024 – Award-winning filmmaker Joanna Bowers and a team of talented collaborators proudly announce the release of My Extra-Special Aunty, a heartwarming children’s tale that shines a spotlight on the extraordinary migrant domestic workers, known colloquially as ‘aunties’, who play an integral role in the lives of many Hong Kong families. The story, narrated from a child’s perspective, aims to promote healthy relationships among young readers and their families, and is Hong Kong’s first children’s book illustrated by migrant domestic workers.

香港,2024年5月2日 —— 由獲獎電影製片人Joanna Bowers及其團隊聯合製作的新書《我家有位好特別的阿姨》正式面世,這是一個溫馨的兒童故事,歌頌為很多香港家庭作出貢獻的外傭(俗稱「阿姨」)。故事以孩子的角度,促進建立健康的家庭關係,這也是香港第一本由外傭繪製插圖的兒童圖書。

21 November 2023 – PathFinders, the only HK charity dedicated to supporting the unique vulnerabilities of children born to migrant mothers, is delighted and privileged to join hands with professional rugby player Russell Webb who has become our first Child Ambassador earlier this year to help raise awareness of our work for the Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) communities.
